The benefits of our Bath (Hammam):

The idea of the Hammam is to cleanse the skin. This is what the Hammam is all about, it is a cleansing ritual to detox and calm us. We have several services in our spa. sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Both saunas and steam rooms provide essentially the same benefits. The high heat will open up your pores, cleansing the outer layers of skin. Overall, this heat will temporarily lower your pulse and your blood pressure while causing you to sweat out salts and toxins from your body.

Our BATH (Hammam) procedures:

Before you enter the spa area, you will be seated in the sitting room where you will fill out a consultation form for health and safety. After, you will arrive at the Hammam where a beautician will show you to a changing room, they will give you a robe and a locker and tell you to get changed. When you are changed, you will be asked to take a shower before you enter the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. This is just a health and safety precaution, to keep our spa clean and hygienic. The fist place you enter is our infer-red sauna.

Drink at least one or two tall glasses of water before entering a sauna or the steam room because the process may dehydrate you.You will also want to replenish more fluids after you leave the steam bath.

Avoid eating before taking a steam bath, because the heat interferes with your circulation and digestion.

People who have heart problems, high blood pressure or pregnant women should not use a sauna. If you have a question about your ability to tolerate it, consult your doctor before using one. And, for anyone, if you feel ill, dizzy, develop a headache or other sense of being unwell, leave and cool down.

Pay attention to how you feel. The first time you take a sauna bath you may want to leave after a few minutes but if you are comfortable you can stay slightly longer—just no longer than 10 minutes. You can always go outside and cool off, then enter the sauna for another 10 minutes.

After you are ready to leave to sauna you must enter the steam room. Our bauician will provide you with special moroccan soap which you will apply on your body, you must stay in the steam room for about 20 minutes. The beautician will then start to scrub your body to exfoliate the skin. This takes approximately 15 minutes. When your skin is fully exfoliated and body masked you will be asked to take a shower. For a more relaxing luxury bath more services are available such as the jacuzzi, massage or a manicure and pedicure.
